It has been six months in the making and the new website is live! The Plain of Jars Project is a fundraiser for a small but amazing community project in Phonsavan, Laos, called the Lone Buffalo Foundation. Phonsavan is on the Plain of Jars and is one of the most heavily bombed areas on the planet.
Today’s date isn’t a random selection; today is the United Nations’ International Mine Awareness Day, an apt day considering the massive amount of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) from the Secret War still littering the country—and still maiming and killing civilians, some 40% that are children.
The Plain of Jars website is a content portal and a link to a fundraising campaign for the Lone Buffalo Foundation.
